Meet the Team: Kylie Johnson
For our second Meet the Team spotlight, we’re turning to The Results Team’s Listing Coordinator, Kylie Johnson. Kylie joined the team in November 2016 and has single-handedly changed the way we are able to care for our sellers. Join us as we ask Kylie a few questions about her role and her unique perspective on the local real estate market.
The Results Team: Let’s start with the basics. Please share a bit about yourself and what lead you to the Team.
Kylie Johnson: I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Growing up, my older brother and I were always very active in sports. We played soccer from the time we were little all the way through high school, so you can imagine our weekends were always booked with different soccer tournaments. When we weren’t playing soccer, we loved to get outside and explore, whether by camping, hiking with family, or having campfires in the back yard.
By the time I graduated from Tahoma High School in 2014, I was working at a coffee shop. I was introduced to real estate when one of my regulars offered me a job as a receptionist at his local real estate office, and this is where my passion for real estate all started. I joined The Results Team in November 2016 as Listing Coordinator. When I started on the team, I immediately fell in love with everything they are about, from focusing on client care above salesmanship and also knowing that it is okay to have some fun along the way.
When you’re not coordinating photography appointments and setting up listings, what are your hobbies?
When I’m not at the office, you can find me catching up with family and friends, or taking my dogs to local parks and on hikes. My entire family lives in the area, so you can imagine that every weekend is filled with some kind of family event, from birthday parties to BBQs.
In your opinion, how can a Listing Coordinator make a difference for sellers as they prepare to put their home on the market?
Having seen the difference that a dedicated administrative team member can make in a successful listing, I can attest to the fact that a Listing Coordinator is a huge benefit to sellers. Not only does it guarantee that you always have an advocate behind the scenes, but it means that our Listing Specialists can focus more on client care and less on processing paperwork. I’ve seen firsthand how much more we can do to market and promote a home when we allow each member of the team to focus on the piece of the process they are most passionate about. In the end, better marketing and better promotions leads to higher net proceeds, and ultimately a better experience for the seller.
In addition, having a dedicated Listing Coordinator means you have someone at all times who is willing and ready to get whatever needs done to take as much stress off of the you as possible. We know this process can be difficult, so let us take that burden off of your shoulders!
From your perspective, how is the market doing today? Any advice you would like to give to prospective sellers thinking about selling their home this year?
From my perspective, I would say that now is a great time to put your home on the market. I’d always heard that there is seasonality to selling your home, but that really doesn’t seem to be true in our market area. There are buyers lined up waiting for more homes to come on the market, and our listings are getting multiple offers within days of hitting the market. For sellers that have properly prepared their homes and have great marketing behind their listings, we’re seeing fantastic results year-round.
Thank you for your time, Kylie. We can’t wait to see the ways in which you improve the client experience for our sellers!
